Very proud to have designed and currently manage the Playa Vista Elementary School Website for the LA Unified School District (LAUSD).

The vision that drives Playa Vista Elementary School as a hub of innovation, research and professional development is delivering a challenging and nurturing environment for the youngest learners. All children residing in Playa Vista have the opportunity to attend Playa Vista Elementary School.

Playa Vista Elementary School shows what can happen when educators, planners, green builders and a dedicated community come together to create a state-of-the-art model for teaching and learning. Through a partnership with Loyola Marymount University (LMU), the LA Unified School District (LAUSD) and the local community, this K-5 demonstration school is quickly becoming a breeding ground for effective teaching strategies, particularly in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

A New Website for Coach Derek,Inc.
Coach Derek and his great staff teach year round multiple sports classes and coach sports teams for boys and girls ages 2-14 in Los Angeles, CA. I designed this website for easy navigation, class scheduling, and class registration (utilizing the ‘Jackrabbit’ scheduling/sign-up system). It’s got animated sliders, easy functional forms and a great photo and video gallery.

It’s a wordpress site, fully responsive on all phones and tablets.

I incorporated their branding throughout the site and designed with a combination of function and fun.

Darryl Holter grew up playing the guitar and singing country and rock and roll songs in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His current brand of Americana music draws from country, blues and folk traditions and often tells stories about people, places and events.

Besides his music, Holter has worked as an academic, a labor leader, an urban revitalization planner, and an entrepreneur. Most recently he has done archival research and written on Woody Guthrie in Los Angeles, 1937 to 1941.
